Objective
Students will be able to stay up to date on real world issues, read, analyze, and write about them. Students will relate one real world events to three key concepts we are learning about in IB Social and Cultural Anthropology. Real World Issues can come from any reputable in depth written news source on the Internet, newspaper or magazine. These include but are not limited to http://anthropology-news.org, http://scientificamerican.com, http://anthropology.news.org,Oregonian, New York Times, Huffington Post, Google News, http://bbc.com, http://cnn.com, http://nationalgeographic.com. Students will present and lead discussion of their chosen current event.

You will read the article, fill out the presentation form with details and quotes, attach the article to it, and be ready to present the first 10 minutes of class. Be prepared to answer questions, and explain the real-world issue and key concepts. You will be the local expert.
